Website Navigation Planning I wont go into great detail (as this is something covered in-depth in our book "Don't Get 'Ripped Off' On Your Website") but should clearly point out that website users generally surf the web in 'autopilot' mode. Meaning that they are very focused on one or two things in particular;
"Auto-pilot" users make up almost 80% of all internet users. And these users DONT want to have to think, while they are at your website. They plain-and-simply are after a particular solution to a problem - and they want it pre-chewed and spoon-fed. "Auto-pilot" users don't read website content. They 'scan' and 'skim' their way through information, and only read what is relevent to their particular wants or needs. This is why it's good practice to either bolden or underline key features and benefits on your website. This way, 'skimmers' or 'scanners' can quickly;
