Although our creativity is highly seen as a 'work of art', we like to look at that with more depth meaning... As our 'art' has a commercial application and purpose. It is created to satisfy a need - a need that should generate results. So when we're puzzled by a perplexing descision... All we ask is: "will this generate our desired result?". Having a measuring stick that is constantly refering back to "results" ensures that we hit our objectives every single time!

 

We're Smaller - So We Try Harder!

Being a small contender in our field has proven to be a tremendously favourable trait for Nelson Martins Design. For starters, we carry lower overhead costs - in comparison to larger agancies (who we regularly compete with - doing the EXACT same sort of work), we can offer better rates for Creative Strategy and Prodcution Artwork by using a small team of specialised individuals rather than many 'juniors'.

Why would you honestly want to pay for 30 peoples wages pre-built into your project when you could get away with only utilising a hand-full of truely tallented individuals?

So, because we're smaller - we try harder! It makes sense doesnt it?
We know bigger agencies try to undermine us smaller guys (because we hear it from clients), although we take that sort of 'fluff' as fuel to our determination and drive to grow our business continually.

If your a client paying top dollar for creative strategy and artwork... Who would you rather be doing your work? A large staff of 'sales orientated' and 'admin' people - or the specialised creative strategists and designers themselves? We know what we'de prefer.

 

Hands On - At Every Stage of the Game!

Ever heard the phrase 'too many cooks spoil the broth'? It is a scenario of having too many upper-level / management staff allocated to a project or a non-creative liason officer (normally termed 'account manager') to delegate between the creative team and the client.

At Nelson Martins Design, we don't like the idea of having a non-creative person filling the role of the project manager or creative director. As ultimately, it is the point where most of the mis-communication and undeliverable promises are made (a territor where we never want to find ourselves in) where the client has certain expectations for his or her project - yet they are dealing directly with a middle-man rather than the creative director.

We have found that meeting project objective over-and-beyond their yard-stick only happens when the creative director works hand-in-hand with our clients. This way, our meetings can progress projects much quicker, and have FAR fewer problems then their 'account management' counter parts.

Well, you'de be pleased to know that on just about every project, you (the client) will meet directly with the creative directors of your project.

Projects can then be strategically aligned much quicker, and have a far better chance of hitting their goal - than that of the 'salesman' who makes promises on things that they dont even know if they are achieveable (from a design, print, and media reproduction point of view - given your project budget).

You deal directly with the creative team - not a overpayed liason. Which is GREAT news for you!
